The United States Fire Department Reserve Corps provides international emergency services assistance to the international community if requested. Our fundamental principles are to provide relief to victims of disasters and help educate people to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies in the United States and worldwide if requested.

Republic of Honduras

On November 29, 2022, a Memorandum of Understating (MOU) was signed by the Honduras Red Cross (HRC) by the National President Mr. Jose J. Castro Hernandez and Gen. Carmelo Baez, CEO and National Commander.

 

The purpose and scope are to provide mutual support for the welfare of all citizens, residents, and visitors of the Republic of Honduras in recovery, mitigation, preparedness, and response to daily operations, emergencies, and disasters.

 

The MOU provides a broad framework for cooperation and support between both institutions in a Joint Strategic Alliance Partnership (JSAP) in assisting individuals and families who have been impacted by emergencies and disasters under the red cross fundamental principles.

 

Such cooperation and collaboration are the essence of community readiness and facilitate coordinated responses to complex scenarios as well as to ongoing preparedness initiative
